Public ferry: the default for a relaxed day, light luggage and anyone happy to work around fixed sailings. Speedboat: worth considering when you are late to the pier, traveling as a group, or trying to reach a specific beach without spending the saved minutes on another island transfer. The ferry decision is really two pier decisions
